Misbehaving has a good misbehaving.net: interview with Ellen Spertus{.broken_link}, a Mills College professor on sabbatical at Google. Ellen wrote a paper called “Why Are There So Few Female Computer Scientists?”{.broken_link} while she was at MIT. As a girl geek I had never thought much about WHY there are so few women in computing; that was just the way it was. Reading this paper a few years ago was a big important moment for me and has really changed how I think about myself and the position of women in general in technical careers. Both the paper and the interview are worth checking out.
