fear and loathing

It is too bad that Hunter S. Thompson is a sad, old, bald, rambling caricature of what he used to be. Very rarely these days he manages to put together a good bit of writing. This rolling stone bit about the upcoming election is about 20% good but has no focus and no fire. I like the meat hammer bit. Mostly it just makes me sigh and wonder what the hell happened and why HST can’t write something really blisteringly angry about an administration and an election that so desperately needs it. sigh.
